Letter to parents 10th July 2020
Welcome to Beaconhill Primary School- our family oriented school with a strong emphasis on developing the whole child. We pride ourselves on offering a warm, nurturing and friendly learning environment where every child matters as an individual.
We have an exceptional team of talented teachers and teaching assistants who deliver a creative and vibrant curriculum designed to meet every child’s needs, and ensure that attainment and progress are strong across the school.
As a Pride of Northumberland award winning Beach School, our school minibus can often be seen out and about carrying our children and Beach Ranger to a variety of coastal locations. We really do ’teach at the beach and make the most of the coast’; delivering the curriculum through more than 150 visits each year to a range of different locations along our stunning Northumberland coastline.
Outdoor active learning is an integral part of our provision on site too; ask us about Beaconhill Muddy Fridays, our SMOOGA, Nursery Garden or Pavilion when you visit.
You will also find the whole school working together during Curriculum Enrichment days. Recently we have celebrated Remembrance Day, Beaconhill Be Healthy, Be Happy, Be Safe Day, French Day and Magnificent Science Day. We also benefit from strong links with professional sporting teams such as The Newcastle Eagles who offer children coaching and after school clubs.
We are very proud of our wonderful children who leave us having experienced a wealth of sporting, musical and cultural opportunities. The school ethos encourages fairness, good manners and respect for one another and our community. Look out for our Community Champions in Year Six, and ask them how they earned their unique black sweatshirt!
Beaconhill Primary School caters for children from Nursery to year 6 (age 3 to 11), with onsite wrap around care offered by ‘What a Hoot.’
Call us on 01670 714864 to arrange a visit so you can find out more for yourselves.
