Year 5

Welcome back everyone!

Year 5 teacher: Mrs Williams.

Year 5 teaching assistants: Mrs Mort and Mrs Wharton.

This year we will be learning lots of fun and exciting things, including map reading, all about Ancient Greece and even baking flapjacks! Yum!

I don't work on a Monday so Mrs Mason will be teaching you then. I also have my planning time on a Tuesday morning so Mr Shepherd will be teaching you then.

We will be doing PE on Monday and Thursday. We will be outdoors for the majority of our PE lessons so make sure you come appropriately dressed for the weather, particularly on colder days.

Reading books - these will be sent home on a Friday. Please make sure books are returned by Tuesday. Due to the current situation with coronavirus, we must allow these books to be in isolation before they can be changed and sent home again. If books are returned too late, they won't be changed until the following week.

Homework - all of your homework is online at the moment. You will be set an online homework task every Tuesday and Friday. This might be Sumdog, MyMaths, Purple Mash, Spelling Shed or perhaps an online research task. I would suggest keeping all of your log ins somewhere safe as you're going to need to use them a lot.

Beach school - Due to the current situation with coronavirus, we are unable to attend beach visits at the moment.
